Hereβs an idea. Click here and read our story on a house in Sandringham, TΔmaki Makaurau, designed by Pac Studio. If you like what you see, then come along to our next Open Home, presented in association with Dulux, and experience it in real life.
β
After sell-out open homes inΒ Te-Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington and Central Otago, weβre looking forward to bringing the series up north. TheΒ series brings the houses youβve seen in the magazine to life β a one-time-only opportunity to discover what these houses are like in person. Photos are lovely, but thereβs nothing quite like standing in a space.
β
And what a house! Conceived as an βurban bachβ for occasional occupation, it was designed, consented and built in record time. Itβs charming, with blue walls, yellow cabinetry and lots of warm ply. Fun aside, it also offers some valuable lessons in solving housing affordabilty β its owner bought an original bungalow on the front site with friends, then built himself a minor dwelling at the rear for his infrequent trips back home.Β
β
The house shows what you can do with ingenuity, use of colour β and some simple but bold moves.Β Thank you as ever to our event partner Dulux for their support.
