One of the best things about being an independent magazine is not having to ask anyone’s permission. The other day, in an off-hand kind of way, we mused that it would be nice to make a tote bag. Because everyone loves a tote, right?
A couple of days later, design director Sarah Gladwell had whipped up some ideas, and we’d got in touch with Porter, based on Auckland’s Karangahape Road, which specialises in bespoke packaging and printing for the likes of Simon James and Curio Noir; a week or so after that, we had our design quoted, sorted and on the way.
It’s made from 320gsm cotton canvas, sourced from responsible suppliers and printed with soy-based inks. It also has a fetching heavy-duty red canvas handle, and is big enough for a book, a laptop and the various odds and ends a tote bag attracts.
Order yours today – and help support independent publishing. We look forward to seeing them out and about.
